I tried to connect a DP->DVI adapter, "testdisplay -i" shows the connction is HDMI connection. "testdisplay -a" shows flash for several modes. And "testdisplay -d 16/24" shows flash for more modes. The testing is on BSW + drm-intel-testing-2015-04-10. If this is a different issue, let me know and I will report a new bug.
I don't see screen flash on BSW after upgrading BIOS to V69. And don't receive complain about this issue from BYT tester. So close this bug.
Saw this issue again with Dell UP3214QT 4K Monitor for both DP/HDMI on drm-intel-testing-2015-05-22
