Closing LibreOffice after opening any document causes the following error popup:

DDE Server Window: soffice.bin - Application Error
The instruction at "ox7c910a19" referenced memory an "0xffffffff". The memory could not be "read".

Similar error was also present in the previous stable version.

I've never encountered this on Windows.

Juha: can you please test with 4.3.5 or 4.4 rc2?

This was a case of corrupted user profile.
