Created attachment 112795 [details] dmesg output Hi all, This bugs me for quite some time and since this game looks really fun to play i would like to have this bug fixed anytime soon :) I've own this game since it came out with the humble bundle 9 (May 2013) and every time i've tried it it crashed. I can remember that it crashed earlier (already at the intro videos) with older versions of mesa/kernel but it was never playable for me. Usually i always tested it with newer version's of mesa and kernel but now i'm at: git-sources-3.19-rc4 mesa-10.4.2 xf86-video-ati-7.5.0 and things didn't changed at all. Today i've tried to gather as much information as possible about this bug. I hope it can help. As mentioned, the crash happens after about 10-15 seconds in the game. I'll take the axe and kill one of those enemies. Afterwards the screen freezes and the game stuck. The sound still seems to continue as i hear how the other enemies attacking me. It also seems the gpu resets the connection to my monitor as the screen goes black for a second. I also can switch to other VT's where i can kill burtal legends. However i have to reboot the system as the graphic card still seems to run on 100% (checked with radeontop as-well) I also see massages like: radeon: The kernel rejected CS, see dmesg for more information on the VT where i started X. A few things changed since. For example with older version it wasn't possible to change the VT. I always had to hard-reset my system. But i also had days where i could play the game for about one minute before it crashed. However, i don't know the exact versions of the software stack those days. Since basically it never worked at all i didn't made any further investigations. I've also search for open bugs and found: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87278 which might be related. However Serious Sam 3 as mentioned in 87278 actually seems to work on my system. I can't tell about the talos principle as i don't have it (but i can test it). I've also added full dmesg output, a picture (taken with my mobile) with some information from GALLIUM_HUD (it seems this game has a fps cap?!?) and a short radeontop output AFTER i killed the game. (graphic card still stuck at 100%) Please let me know what else i should test :) My system: Portage 2.2.15 (python 3.3.5-final-0, default/linux/amd64/13.0, gcc-4.8.4, glibc-2.20-r1, 3.19.0-rc4 x86_64)
