/sys/class/drm/card0/error output

On latest Gentoo using, kernel 3.19.3, xorg-server 1.16, mesa 10.3.7, xf86-video-intel 2.99.917 with TearFree=True, running i3wm I got a short GPU lockup while gaming.

Kernel dmesg was:
[ 4406.975520] [drm] stuck on render ring
[ 4406.976626] [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 7:0:0x85dfbcfc, in gzdoom [4860], reason: Ring hung, action: reset
[ 4406.976630] [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx stack, including userspace.
[ 4406.976632] [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org against DRI -> DRM/Intel
[ 4406.976635] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right component if it's not a kernel issue.
[ 4406.976637] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so please always attach it.
[ 4406.976640] [drm] GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error

Looks to be a mesa hang from gzdoom. Could you try reproducing it, and investigate building an apitrace replay?
Comment 2 Martin Jørgensen 2015-03-30 12:55:07 UTC
I'll try reproduce. The hangs are sometimes hard to trigger...
Comment 3 Matt Turner 2015-06-01 18:08:02 UTC
Any luck reproducing it or capturing an apitrace that reproduces it?
Comment 4 Martin Jørgensen 2015-06-01 19:52:51 UTC
I havent looked into the apitrace yet, but since last time I've switched to Debian Stretch/Sid and have no issues with TearFree at all.
