3.13 is a fairly old kernel. Can you reproduce it with a more recent one, like 4.0 or drm-intel-nightly from http://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-intel?

I won't move to 4.0 until all my drivers and VirtualBox support it. If that's possible to compile drm-intel-nightly for my kernel version, which comes with Ubuntu LTS, then I'm gonna try it.

Is there some fix in 4.0, which you think remind of that problem?

drm-intel-nightly is a kernel newer than 4.0 with the latest development bits for i915. Unfortunately, we cannot support such an old version of the kernel as you have. You should open a bug report with Ubuntu for support with their LTS kernel.
