I have created ICC color correction files for my two secondary displays, only to learn that they don't seem to be applied when I install them using the "Color" applet in Ubuntu. Do I need to communicate them to the "other" X server :8?

There is a test profile that adds blue to everything, I clearly notice the difference when applying it to the primary display but not when applying it to the two secondary displays.

I was able to apply color profiles by asking

xcalib -d :8 my.icc

However, the new profile affects both displays at the same time. The xcalib tool has an -s switch, but calling with -s 1 or any other value gives an error. Please advise.

I could try and proxy the communication through ivo (which may help when setting up individual profiles for different monitors across both devices). Could you record what happens with "DISPLAY=:8 xtrace xcalib my.icc"?
