With libdrm 2.4.61 the X server segfaults with xf86-video-intel (.917) and X server 1.17.1! i have bisected libdrm back to commit 8576527cfacaf42af8316e1030c192193e94225a - intel: Merge latest i915_drm.h. reverse applying the patch on top of .61 works just fine as well.
Care to grab a gdb bt?
