libva 1.5.0 introduced the following changes to the API:

API: add support for HEVC decoding

However, I notice this functionality is currently not implemented for Ivy Bridge and Haswell systems (and apologies if there is a technical reason for why such is the case.)

Under supported profile and entrypoints, the 'VAProfileHEVCMain' & 'VAProfileHEVCMain10', et al., profiles are missing.

Full vainfo when running with the latest 1.5.1 libva on IVB (HD2500):

We haven't plan to support HEVC on IVB/HSW
