We seem to have completely neglected this bug. Apologies. I'm going to assume we've fixed the bug, closing. Please reopen if the problem persists with latest kernels.
Actually, I purchased an nvidia card and didn't bother anymore. There's another bug report about drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed which also has been "neglected". Thanks
