Description Arthur Marsh 2015-06-16 23:08:47 UTC
with kernel 4.1.0-rc8 and mesa 10.5.7-1, using a Radeon 3850HD video card, video playback in mpv and vlc with vdpau enabled, particularly with 1080 resolution videos caused weird colour effects and eventual lock-ups (see Debian bug report at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=789000 ).

I'm happy to run further tests.
Comment 1 Michel Dänzer 2015-06-17 00:53:46 UTC
Does this only happen with particular video formats?
Comment 2 Arthur Marsh 2015-06-17 01:12:13 UTC
It appears to be a problem with H264 formats.

Not seeing the problem with a raw .ts file.

would mediainfo provide suitable format information for each file if I can run some more tests, or would another program provide better information on the video file encoding?
