The output of sys/class/drm/card0/error

Bug description:

Went to a canvas website in chromium, the browser process hung (although the display wasn't corrupted), and the followed message appeared in the log:

[276939.301680] [drm] stuck on render ring
[276939.302316] [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 0:0x85ff3c1e, in chromium [11249], reason: Ring hung, action: reset
[276939.302318] [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx stack, including userspace.
[276939.302319] [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org against DRI -> DRM/Intel
[276939.302320] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right component if it's not a kernel issue.
[276939.302321] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so please always attach it.
[276939.302322] [drm] GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error
[276941.299104] [drm] Enabling RC6 states: RC6 on, RC6p on, RC6pp off

In the middle of writing the depth count, GPU is entirely idle - smells like a hw w/a is missing?

First challenge is to try and reproducible the crash, and double check with uptodate mesa.
