On resuming from one of the 2015 ThinkPad models, there is terrible graphics corruption. Text gets garbled, the performance is poor, etc. There is a bug opened in Launchpad for this issue: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1452318 but thought I'd open one in the intel component here. There is a workaround that if you change graphics acceleration from SNA to UXA, everything works but comes with super slow graphics performance. Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide.
Sure, the reason why UXA is unaffected is that UXA doesn't use the GPU...
This is probably the execlists resume bug, if so the w/a is i915.enable_execlists=0.
