[ 1.427316] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so please always attach it. [ 1.427888] i915: render error detected, EIR: 0x00000010
Reassigned to submitter. How do you reproduce it and on which platform?
It is triggered by i915.ko loading and overwriting live entries (being used by the BIOS for scanout) in the GTT. It happens on all platforms, though this error itself is only detected on gen3/4, and is a regression from around 3.2. (In reply to cprigent from comment #1) > How do you reproduce it and on which platform? The answer to that is in the error state.
Does this fix the issue http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/1448297312-18558-1-git-send-email-matthew.d.roper@intel.com

Assuming that it is fixed by now. If this is not the case, please re-test with latest kernel & Mesa to see if this issue is still occurring since there were improvements pushed in kernel and Mesa that will benefit to your system.
