I request an account with commit access to the xdg-utils repository. I have been the maintainer of the xdg-utils Debian package since 2006 and I have written many patches. I have been a bit inactive the last years but intend to be more active now.

I don't know who the project leader is, but Rex Dieter seems to be the de facto developer of xdg-utils nowadays so I'm reassigning to freedesktop.org.
