Description Matthias Clasen 2015-09-23 15:53:54 UTC
While testing the 3.18.0 GNOME release, I noticed that two-finger scrolling does not work anymore. It has morphed into 3-finger scrolling. And I could not get edge scrolling to work at all.

Actually, I can not reproduce it on my libinput master branch. Matthias, could you append an evemu-record of your touchpad while making a 2 finger scroll, and one while making a 3 fingers scroll?

I am also experiencing this issue, though I did not realize that I could scroll with three fingers until I came across this report (thanks Matthias!). I am using this version from Fedora Rawhide:

libinput-1.0.1-3.fc24.x86_64

I have filed this downstream with Fedora here:

based on the description in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1262434 this seems to be a kernel bug (caused by Input: synaptics - fix handling of disabling gesture mode)
