From a quick look at your log you likely have a wrong
libGL or dri module laying around, make sure the one
from 6.5.2-rc2 are used and properly installed. You
may also want to try with final 6.5.2 release.

As suggested i have built and installed the release mesa-6.5.2.  The errors are

This is what i see.  Now one thing i do want to point out is that compiz has
never been so fast on this computer ... direct rendering does work.  I am using
aiglx.

Xorg log when compiz is enabled. compiz itself does not give any errors.

I saw similar problems that were the result of building xorg-server against 
another mesa-version than the one installed.

Hanno Boeck was correct.  So i am marking this bug as Resolved and Invalid.
