syslog or should I attach gpu.html?

Unexpected black screen with nothing but (logout) beep.
I have to press the off-button for a few seconds and then I have to turn it on again.
Since: the beginning I installed full Ubuntu 14.0.4 LTS (instead of Vista). At the same time I had to install a new harddisk, which seems to work okay, but it is thinner-shaped, so I had to turn my laptop upside down.
Sometimes I can "work" all day, sometimes I get it every couple of minutes.

Please attach contents of /sys/class/drm/card0/error and dmesg output

dmesg

Hello,

The error-file is 0 Kb (and if I try to open it, it says I have no
permission but I think I have to change the user for that..?)
The file */var/log/dmesg *I have attached (but not the other dmesg-files).

Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Rachel.

Hello,
In meantime I have installed Xubuntu 14 (32 bit). It worked allright.
After that I had to install 15.10 (64 bit). It also works allright.
I mean to say there is nothing wrong with the laptop.

Good luck with Ubuntu.
Best regards,
Rachel.
