Screen recording of the flickering using Poppler 0.26.5

Hi,

I encountered a problem using TexMaker, contacted the author, he reported the poppler library is the reason for my problem. I use a iMac 5K to display LaTeX source code as PDF using Poppler 0.26.5. However, on this large resolution scrolling through the PDF leads to flickering effects.

Here is the response I got from the TexMaker author:
"The pdf is displayed by the poppler library (not by texmaker) and create large image from the pdf source can take a while on very large screen.
Best regards, P.Brachet"

I use a very recent hardware, so the CPU should not be a problem here.

OS: Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 (15B42)
CPU: Skylake 4.0 GHz Intel Core i7
RAM: 32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB
Display: 27-inch (5120 x 2880)

TexMaker: 4.5 (Qt 5.2.1, Poppler 0.26.5)
with TexLive-2015 (amd64) https://www.tug.org/mactex/

Thanks for a response.

We do not do any display on screen, so we can't be responsible for any flickering, he just needs to improve how he renders to screen.

Thanks for a quick response! I thought so as well, I will forward this to the TexMaker author. Sorry for bothering you. Thx
