Feature request: Let there be a way to set location explicitly. That would be very useful for desktop computers that have a fixed location. It could for example be a file /etc/geolocation or something similar where you put the information manually. On a stationary desktop computer you don't need the fancy stuff that GeoClue can do, but it would still be useful if applications could use the same method to determine your location. For some programs that use GeoClue you can also set location explicitly, like for example for redshift, http://askubuntu.com/questions/194525/does-redshift-need-an-active-internet-connection-to-work . It would be better if that was handled in a uniform way, by GeoClue.
