Oh, the modem itself returns those ERROR messages; that is not a bug in ModemManager. We just warn because we cannot do anything with those :)

Comment 9 Aleksander Morgado 2016-02-17 08:56:16 UTC
Reopening the bug.

You mean ModemManager worked on 0.5 for this modem but not on 1.4.0? Then why wasn't that explained in the original bug report? Could you send debug logs of MM 0.5?

1.4.0 is very old and we have released quite some bugfix releases since then. Could you test with 1.4.12?

Also, the last debug log ends with these lines:

ModemManager[1708]: <debug> [1455604335.980203] [mm-port-serial.c:1237] mm_port_serial_open(): (ttyUSB2) device open count is 2 (open)
ModemManager[1708]: <debug> [1455604335.980254] [mm-port-serial-at.c:440] debug_log(): (ttyUSB2): --> 'AT+COPS=0<CR>'
ModemManager[1708]: <debug> [1455604340.510180] [mm-port-serial.c:1296] mm_port_serial_close(): (ttyUSB2) device open count is 1 (close)

Where are the remaining ones? The AT+COPS=0 command has a very long timeout, up to 2 minutes, as it is requesting automatic network registration. Did you wait long enough?

Also, please, don't copy and paste the full logs in the comment, attach the files instead only :)
