relevant snippet from dmesg

I was working on a spreadsheet in LibreOffice Calc, scrolling down, when the entire screen turned to garbage. VT switch worked and I found the attached errors in dmesg.

Linux Malice 4.4.1-2-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Feb 3 13:12:33 UTC 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux

X.Org X Server 1.15.2

Restarting X cleared the corruption and it seems OK for now. This has happened in the past and I can't rule out bad hardware since this is the only laptop I have with this Intel chip.

can you share more information on the ship and environment you are using
Comment 2 abortretryfail 2016-03-01 21:17:19 UTC
ship?

I'm using the Awesome window manager, no compositor or desktop environment or anything else like that. I believe the only applications open at the time this happened were Chromium, sakura, rdesktop, and LibreOffice Calc.

The gpu crash dump is required to do anything, really. Please reopen, with more information, if the problem happens on recent kernels.
