Please describe what you want. If you want us to import openmax plugins in the repository of gstreamer as a module, please provide us with a tarball to import. you attached an ssh key; I assume you want to request an account, in which case you need to file a separate bug and follow the complete procedures.
Sorry, I want to request a new project in order to have a repository to store OpenMAX plug-ins for GStreamer. Obviously I would also like an account in order to be able to commit to this new repository. I'm not familiar with the procedure, but I guess I should first request the new project, and then fill a request for a new account with permissions to modify that code.
I thought the conclusion on the mailing list was that this was going to be a subproject of GStreamer ? If that's not the case, then another admin will have to take care of this, I only handle GStreamer modules.
I just created 9612, hopefully this will allow me to submit code to the new module.
I would appreciate it if you guys would read what I say in bug reports and on the account request pages :) - You did not tell me if this was to be a module inside the gstreamer CVS project, or a separate project. I decided to make it a module inside gstreamer CVS. - You did not attach the GPG and ssh key, it is a lot more error-prone to cut and paste. Let's hope they will end up working. - The account request page explain to give us a preferred user id. I will pick one based on your email account. Please make sure future requests contain the necessary info.
Any news on this?
I really need info from someone who knows what the plan is with openmax.
The plan is to merge the Bellagio's GStreamer plug-ins with TI's previous' tarballs. The proposal is already in CVS, and the guys from Bellagio (STMicro) has agreed on this collaboration. I uploaded the code there: http://webcvs.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-openmax/ More information here: http://freedesktop.org/wiki/GstOpenMAX We are planing to make the public announcement any time now.
Hi, this is why I asked a few times to see the code before putting it in CVS. The module clearly is quite different from all the others to the point where I would not want to lead people to believe that this is an officially maintained module. Some examples: - there's no autogen.sh or any of the GNU standard files - configure.ac is completely different (for example it hardcodes -Wall -Werror) and doesn't use any of the GStreamer macros So, I am going to move it to a separate directory (contrib or external or something) to make this point clear. *Please* start communicating more with us, and *please* do not "widely announce" anything until we're all happy about it. What do you think ?
All right. I could add the GNU standard files and other GStreamer macros. Is there any other thing? We would like to be as supported by the GStreamer team as possible. This whole OpenMAX IL thing has been in a fuzz, but now it seems things are becoming clearer now. So yes: we will communicate more with you.
Just chasing up old bugs, what's the state of this module? Was it indeed imported or are changes still pending?
It was imported already, and I made the changes. I don't know what else is needed.
Based on info provided in this bug, everything has required has taken place.
