First off, I'm running xorg 7.2 from Ubuntu Edgy and latest compiz from git. Ok, problem is that when I start a session using GDM, all windows have a white border around them (instead of a shadow I suppose) I start compiz using compiz --use-cow gconf & gtk-window-decorator & in my startup script. To fix the shadows I have to kill compiz and the decorator and start them again from within the session. What's wrong here?
Created attachment 8226 [details] Screenshot This is what I get after starting a session. Note: the menu is *not* transparent here, dunno why it ended up being trnasparent on the screenshot. The menus and the white borders are all solid
Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
If you're using AIGLX, this could be a duplicate of bug 11109.
