Comment 3 FadeMind 2016-03-20 12:51:54 UTC
NOTE: I have since 3.15 kernel:

[drm:intel_set_pch_fifo_underrun_reporting [i915]] *ERROR* uncleared pch fifo underrun on pch transcoder A
[drm:intel_pch_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* PCH transcoder A FIFO underrun

warning from DRM in dmesg, but for my using, I just hid them in DEBUG mode.

We seem to have neglected the bug a bit, apologies.

FadeMind, since There were improvements pushed in kernel that will benefit to your system, so please re-test with latest kernel and mark as REOPENED if you can reproduce (and attach fresh kernel log) and RESOLVED/* if you cannot reproduce.

Note that for failure "PCH transcoder A FIFO underrun" newest version (after 2016-12-01) is including fixes. See Bug 98251. So please give feedback if Atomic update failure still persist.

Apologize for delayed reply. Under Linux 4.9 and 4.10 I have no issues with DRM Intel anymore.
