Description Nicolas Peninguy 2006-12-31 08:21:43 UTC
Using latest xf86-video-ati from git, my LCD monitor goes blank for 1/2 seconds
at more or less regular intervals. If I don't touch the mouse and do nothing, it
happens about every 10 seconds. It happens only when connected on the DVI output
of my video card, if I use VGA output it's OK.

My graphic card is a "ATI Radeon 9200 5961 (AGP)".

It works with version 6.6.3 of the driver, and using git bisect I was able to
find this :

Last working version: fd978140bcb7670f28c684c06c2b6c611c26bef4
Nothing displayed (blank monitor): 547543bbefe605a453bfa5ae6d063ae02c5f040e
First working version showing the problem: 1ba4f36821e60289cad937abbb0edb273c88436c

This is probably the same issue I was facing, so the same fix should work for
you. See comment #64 in bug 2859. I've got a more elegant patch which I should
probably commit as it looks correct.
(not marking as duplicate as it really seems to be a different problem to what
bug 2859 is about.)

Thank you Roland, I can confirm that your patch fixes the issue for me.
Comment 6 Roland Scheidegger 2007-01-03 06:58:52 UTC
Fixed in git.
