emerge --info

Using i3 window manager and starting konsole, while typing there is a 2+ second delay before it shows on the konsole. Same goes for ksshaskpassword. Rolling back to kernel 4.5.x fixes the issue.

the weird this is that QT apps work when i start a plasma session, but if i launch my i3 window manager which uses xcb i think. these drawing issues happen.

Just framebuffer compression being enabled before it was ready (again).

Does this problem still happen with the latest development tree or at least the latest stable Kernels?
