Description Mats Blakstad 2016-05-23 23:55:48 UTC
I work to update the libX11 in Ubuntu to update the composer keys there. However, they will not update any packs until there is a new release of libX11. There has now been any release since march 2015, maybe we can make a new one now?

If someone has time to make a new release, they can go ahead and do so,
we don't use bugs to track that work in X.Org.
Comment 2 Mats Blakstad 2016-05-24 00:19:38 UTC
Exactly how can I do that? Or who can?
Comment 3 Alan Coopersmith 2016-05-24 00:26:25 UTC
Any of the X.Org developers with commit access can do so, by following the
directions listed on
https://www.x.org/wiki/Development/Documentation/ReleaseHOWTO/

Okay, if you're not able to help make a release now, I think it is better to re-open the issue as it's not been solved.

I prefer to keep it open to track an unsolved issue which has not yet been solved.

1.6.5 was released a year ago
