We recently got a report about hal not reporting any battery nor lid on the
ASUSTeK M6Ne, although the kernel reports them in /proc/acpi/.

The Ubuntu bug has the /proc/acpi contents and lshal output. Do you need any
further debug info?

I'm registered to launchpad, so I ask here for the info: 

Please provide: 
* output of hal from /var/log/messages started with --daemon=yes --verbose=yes -
-use-syslog
* start acpi_listen and press the lidclose button and also remove AC adapter 
and post the output here.
