"Check for new updates" in version 2.7.8 of the app shows "no new version available" while there is version 2.7.9 available from the website for download.

The autopkg update processor from the munki project shows "Error parsing XML from appcast feed" for feed URL "https://www.xquartz.org/releases/sparkle/release.xml"

Sorry, the error message from autopkg is not related to the issue.

That's because http://xquartz-dl.macosforge.org/sparkle/release.xml is still self-hosting. I was expecting it to redirect to https://www.xquartz.org/releases/sparkle/release.xml

Yep, I forgot to give the OK for a DNS change that would result in the old URL properly forwarding. Sorry about that.

Keeping this open until the DNS changes go through.

I've changed the DNS. That change should hopefully propagate within a couple hours.
