Description Neil Curry 2007-01-13 10:57:27 UTC
If I launch gnome-compiz-preferences (System > Preferences > GL Desktop or
Compiz tray icon > preferences) the mouse pointer moves, but no longer selects
windows - when you click and drag it takes a screen shot and saves it to the
desktop.

If I hold down Super_L the mouse functions normally.

If I got to GL Desktop > Utility and deselect "Screenshot" functionality returns
to normal, with Compiz working correctly.

Every time I run the Compiz Preferences app the Screen Shot (and Annote + Clone)
always turn themselves back on, other preferences seem to stay OK.

I am using Ubuntu Edgy 6.10 with Compiz downloaded from
http://gandalfn.club.fr/ubuntu edgy dev

I am swapping alt_l and super_l on my keyboard with xmodmap, just in case this
could be making any difference.

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.

This was fixed some time ago. The problem was how compiz handled key events when your keyboard doesn't have a super key.
