Created attachment 125028 [details] dmesg output with hangs A week or so ago I had to reboot my laptop at work, and when it came back up, all I saw was a cursor on a black screen, instead of my login prompt. Hardware: Haswell i7 mobile (Core i7-4810MQ), 16GB RAM OS: Ubuntu 16.04, x86-64, mesa/libdrm from git, kernel 4.6.3 from mainline kernel ppa I knew that this had been working as of my last reboot, and also with 11.2 installed, so I spent a bit of time last night bisecting down to: 39fdee6b2df3cb297c0d2aba285f6991824867b9 is the first bad commit commit 39fdee6b2df3cb297c0d2aba285f6991824867b9 Author: Topi Pohjolainen <topi.pohjolainen@intel.com> Date: Wed May 18 22:07:05 2016 +0300 i965/blorp/gen7+: Do not trigger push constant space reconfig Signed-off-by: Topi Pohjolainen <topi.pohjolainen@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Jason Ekstrand <jason@jlekstrand.net> During bisecting steps, I did a full power-cycle and cold boot, as warm reboots did NOT necessarily reproduce the issue reliably. This is still an issue in mesa git as of July 11. dmesg is attached
