Description kilbith 2016-07-30 13:27:21 UTC
Chromium 52, Arch Linux, xorg-server 1.18.4.

Scrolling a page, loading a page or navigating between tabs cause obvious tearings.

GPU: i965 (Haswell).
Comment 1 kilbith 2016-07-31 22:57:32 UTC
The tearing apparently only happen on window managers that don't use compositor like compton (tested on openbox and i3). I've installed a compositor on i3 and it resolved the issue.

Screen tearing is still noticeable even with a compositor.
It is especially visible during video playback and scrolling.
Using dwm + compton on HD5500 (Broadwell) using i965.
