Mac Pro OS x 10.11.6. I use XQuartz with GNU Radio companion. After a few minutes my cursor and trackpad get wierd. Movment isn't tracked and it thinks I have two or more fingers are down.

That happens at a lower level than XQuartz. That means we're getting NSEvents from the OS X WindowServer that indicate a scroll even instead of a mouse event. XQuartz has no control over that.

how do I resolve this ?

No clue. I've not seen such an issue happen. Does it go away when you reboot? Use an external mouse?
