Description sergio.callegari 2016-11-03 15:13:26 UTC
Seen on Ubuntu Xenial (kubuntu) with the Oibaf ppa that provides mesa from latest git.

Issue prevents X from starting since either the session manager sddm or kde die when i965_dri.so segfaults. E.g.:

 traps: sddm-greeter[6763] general protection ip:7fb6b6517e79 sp:7ffdeb7eda80 error:0 in i965_dri.so[7fb6b624b000+690000]

or

 traps: ksplashqml[7098] general protection ip:7efc779ebe79 sp:7ffecc4b8a20 error:0 in i965_dri.so[7efc7771f000+690000]

issue appeared in between 71cc1e188d52bebe86a1ac72fe90f4e2a7e76778
and d2861d682a235993844989f7742c9539c3e10245

Cannot bisect better, because I'm trying packages from the oibaf repo and only a couple of commits a day are built there.

I think this is fixed.
