output of lspci

Since upgrading from Fedora 24 to Fedora 25 my laptop is unstable. The computer suddenly turns of and restarts after 2-3 seconds. Hence it is hard to tell which component causes the error.

I tried downgrading different components of linux graphic stack to F24 version without success.

Kernel: V4.8 (part of F25), V4.7 (used in F24), V4.9rc2 (as most recent one) -> all unstable

Mesa: V12 (part of F24), V13 (most recent one) -> unstable

libdrm: V2.4.71

xorg-intel-driver: git from 20161023 unstable
I also tried glamouregl (without xorg-intel-driver): unstable

If I stay in the text console, the system seems to be stable. Also disabling DRI in X11 config improves situation a lot.

Any ideas to further analyse the problem are welcome.

Best regards,
Jens

I also disabled the watchdog driver once to check whether it causes the restart.

DRI was off in xserver to have a somehow usable system

According to the glxinfo, this is not using i965 driver.

Comment 7 Jens Reimann 2016-11-17 17:05:46 UTC
That's right. I had to disable DRI to get the system stable enough to file this report! (output for glxinfo with DRI enabled added)

BTW: It is certainly no thermal issue.

Hello Jens, I'm sorry about this delay until getting back to you. Do you still have this problem with the newer components?
Comment 10 Jari Tahvanainen 2017-05-23 12:45:46 UTC
Timeout - marking this as RESOLVED+WORKSFORME. Jens - please reopen this bug if the problem still persist with the latest kernels (preferable from drm-tip).
