I've attached the crash dump that I can see in journalctl.
This seems like the same thing I'm seeing in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1398085 I can confirm that the same thing happens to me when I use pkcon to try to install anything on the CLI: $ pkcon install Thunar Resolving [=========================] Testing changes [ ] (0%) The daemon crashed mid-transaction! So probably your gnome-software is busted, too.
