Created attachment 128585 [details] full dmesg Hello, I've just installed a fresh debian stretch on my razer blade stealth QHD, and the screen is flickering black when the resolution is maximum (2560x1440). The problem occurs even downgrading the refresh rate to 40Hz, and on console, weston, XFCE, awesome WM. I tried to reproduce the problem with the nightly version of the drm i915, but failed to compile and installed it. Thanks More information: uname -r : 4.8.0-2-amd64 uname -m : x86_64 linux dist: debian stretch machine: razer blade stealth (http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade-stealth) GPU: HD 620 integrated to intel i7 7500U kaby lake display connector: eDP1

Please try the drm-tip tree: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip branch drm-tip. We just merged a patch that solves another screen flickering bug today, so it may help you. And just to confirm: if you use resolutions lower than 2560x1440 the screen doesn't flicker?
I just succeed to build the kernel from the drm-tip && installed it, and indeed it fixes the problem of flickering! Thank you
