Fedora removed support for your chipset from -intel.
Great. just great. Any way to use the chipset ? Can I build the xf86-video-intel driver from the 01.org site ?
Rebuilt xorg-x11-drv-intel without Patch 2. It works ! The comment on patch 2: # Do not use intel driver for skylake+ # The intel driver is too much of a moving target / too buggy. and #xorg-x11-drv-intel hardly has any accel on skylake and newer Still true ? I've rebuilt with today's git. Still true for that ? Also: AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib64/dri/i965_dri.so failed (/usr/lib64/dri/i965_dri.so: undefined symbol: _glapi_get_dispatch_table_size) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib64/dri/swrast_dri.so failed (/usr/lib64/dri/swrast_dri.so: undefined symbol: _glapi_check_multithread) GLX: could not load software renderer GLX: no usable GL providers found for screen 0 This looks like https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98428 So I'll wait for the next mesa release.
