Created attachment 128755 [details] Output of hwinfo Bug report for OpenSUSE for this issue: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1016607 Problem: display blinks, but blinking stops whenever something is happening such as a mouse movement. Expected behavior is not blinking. System is nearly unusable due to the blinking. Reproducible always. Work-around: add i915.enable_psr=0 to the kernel line in grub.cfg. Possibly this bug returning (regression)? https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95176 HW: Dell Precision M6800. Full hwinfo attached. OS OpenSUSE Tumbleweed Kernel: kernel-default-4.9.0-2.1.x86_64

It'll get backported eventually (it's already included in 4.10-rc1). Since disable_psr=0 works for you I'm marking this bug as fixed. > > HW: Dell Precision M6800.
