Seems like a common problem independent of the actual OS across Intel graphics devices: http://askubuntu.com/questions/794440/no-hdmi-video-after-suspend-on-intel-nuc6i7kyk https://techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=118272 I have tried many kernels from 4.4 to 4.9. All exhibit the same issue. Currently on Ubuntu 16.10 with the latest intel graphics drivers. Display port works fine. I have swapped cables and tried different monitors. Same issue. Rebooting gets nback the hdmi display. On resume, the port looks dead. I noticed a similar issue: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94014 Please let me know how I can help to debug the issue. Thanks
hnr2k6@gmail.com, can you reproduce issue with "drm.debug=0xe log_buf_len=4M" in your boot command line and then attached your dmesg. Thanks

Attached logs. The logs are cumulative containing data from previous events. Thanks for looking.
Please let me know if you need additional info.
Is there any prospect of a fix from the diagnosis? Thanks.
From kernel perspective you don't have HDMI connected, just DP. Does the chassis have a HDMI connector, or are you using a DP->HDMI adapter? If the former, you probably have LSPCON, an internal DP->HDMI2.0 adapter. Please try current drm-tip branch from https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip
I tried 4.10.0.-994 from ubuntu drm-tip and that worked. I have attached the logs just in case it might be useful. Thanks for the help!
