Description N. W. 2017-01-25 17:04:53 UTC
Hi,

I'd like to delete an attachment from bugs.freedesktop.org. It can be set to "obsolete", which makes it disappear from the attachments list. But it apparently can not be fully deleted. It's still there after setting it to obsolete.

Could someone please help? How can I have it deleted?

Regards

There is a way to delete attachments, at least as an admin. Just tell me what it is and I shall do it for you :)
Comment 2 N. W. 2017-01-29 20:41:58 UTC
Thanks, please delete the following attachments then:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=129140
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=129141
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=129142
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=129143

PS: Can you enable users to delete their own attachments? Or does Bugzilla only allow to give admins this power?

Can you tell me on which bug report there were added to?

It may be enabled for you to do, but it is admittedly a little hard to find.

Thanks for deleting the first three attachments.

But I've noticed you didn't delete the fourth one:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=129143

;)

And am I correct in assuming that users can not delete their own attachments, since you didn't came back to that?

Yes, you're correct that users can't delete their own attachments. This is intentional.
