gpu crash dump
we are going to need an apitrace for this. That could be difficult, the crash only occurs infrequently and randomly. Hi guys I've just tried to reproduce the issue on my BDW (Intel® HD Graphics 5500) with mesa 17.0.0, 18.3.2 and latest master version and Kernel 4.9.11 and 5.0.0. I wasn’t able to reproduce the hang. Matthias, could you please confirm if the issue is fixed or provide more reliable way to replicate it? Since the issue is old, it can be not reproducible on the newest version of the game and of the mesa. Thanks |

Created attachment 129998 [details] dmesg The game Pillars of Eternity (current steam version) froze on the character level up screen after clicking the next button. The computer froze for a few seconds, then the game crashed. The computer continued running (no system hang). The kernel log ends with: [ 8174.996148] [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 8:0:0x85dffffb, in PillarsOfEterni [9281], reason: Hang on render ring, action: reset [ 8174.996150] [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx stack, including userspace. [ 8174.996150] [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org against DRI -> DRM/Intel [ 8174.996151] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right component if it's not a kernel issue. [ 8174.996151] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so please always attach it.
