Problem with similar elements in game. But other texts are readable.

What hardware do you use?
Which version of the game do you use?
Which graphic setting do you use?
Do you still have the issue?

What hardware do you use?
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Cayman PRO [Radeon HD 6950]

Which version of the game do you use?
Stunt Rally 1.9

Which graphic setting do you use?
That doesn't seem to matter. It's visible in menu, before setting any option.
Env settings:
R600_ENABLE_S3TC=1
R600_DEBUG="nosb"
GALLIUM_MSAA=4
Unsetting these env variables doesn't change anything.

Do you still have the issue?
Yes, using git mesa (not today's git, but quite up-to-date), linux-3.13.5.

I've attached the stdout from a simple startup, quitting right after the main menu.

I haven't this issue with StuntRally 2.2.1 with my AMD CYPRESS.
Could you try with StuntRally 2.2.1?

I can't launch StuntRally 1.9 on my Fedora 19 because it requires libraries that mismatch Fedora's libs.

Of mesa or stunt rally?

stdout/stderr for git version.

Note I have also updated libdrm/mesa/xf86-video-ati to git yesterday.

I have not found stuntrally-2.2.1 for my distribution, so I compiled from git.

There is a compiled version here, with all the static packages needed, please try with it:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/stuntrally/files/2.2.1/
Comment 10 Harald Judt 2014-03-17 20:15:31 UTC
Sorry, but why should I try stuntrally-2.2.1 now instead of the git version? It happens with both 1.9 (which uses libsdl) and git (which uses libsdl2).

Maybe something is differently compiled.
Comment 12 Harald Judt 2014-03-18 15:57:22 UTC
You're right, that might have something to do with it. I've downloaded the precompiled game and additionally compiled and installed libpng-1.2 because this was not included as static library. The fonts look ok now.
Comment 13 Benjamin Bellec 2014-03-18 16:21:43 UTC
OK thank you for testing it.
Now, the stuntrally developers could probably answer you what's wrong/missing with your own build.

I close the bug then, feel free to reopen it if needed.
