DP monitor: ASUS PA238Q

Regression: No. I don't find a working version (tried on -nightly 2014-12-06 commit bfdd01aa1825aa0068f9236b21362b550f6d630f and this issue still exists)

Non-working platforms: BSW

==kernel==

Running "testdisplay -a", DP screen is black on following modes
[2]  1920x1080i 60 1920 2008 2052 2200 1080 1084 1094 1125 0x15 0x40 74250

1. Run "testdisplay -a"
2. Check output of DP
3. Same issue if running "testdisplay -d/-t"

I am seeing the same issue with resolution > 1920x1080. I provide the logs and help with debugging if anyone taking this up.

Comment 14 Dhinakaran Pandiyan 2016-06-22 21:38:06 UTC
Issue still exists when setting resolution to 1920x1080i via xrandr.
dmesg shows 1920x1080i as one of the probed modes and DP link training was successful, but the display does not light up.

Again, please attach fresh dmesg when you re-test, and also indicate what hardware the testing was done on.

Jeff Zheng could you please re-test with the latest drm-tip configuration?
Comment 18 Gordon Jin 2017-02-24 13:04:01 UTC
Jeff Zheng is not responsible for this now. Since Luis can't reproduce it, I suggest closing this.
