Description Don Scorgie 2007-09-01 03:07:52 UTC
Committing results in the error:

don@Madaline:~/Work/gnome/rarian-2 $ svn ci
E: unknown option -t
I: Run “/usr/bin/dchroot --help” to list usage example and all available
options
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: Connection closed unexpectedly
svn: Your commit message was left in a temporary file:
svn: '/home/don/Work/gnome/rarian-2/svn-commit.4.tmp'

(From an old tree that I use to commit from)

I've also started getting checkout errors:
don@Madaline:~/Work/gnome $ svn co svn+ssh://dscorgie@svn.freedesktop.org/svn/rarian/trunk rarian
E: unknown option -t
I: Run “/usr/bin/dchroot --help” to list usage example and all available
options
svn: Connection closed unexpectedly

(I've marked as a blocker as I can't do any work on Rarian due to this)
Comment 1 Daniel Stone 2007-09-01 03:27:00 UTC
fixed
Comment 2 Don Scorgie 2007-09-01 10:02:14 UTC
You sure? I'm still getting the same error on checkout and commit.
Comment 3 Daniel Stone 2007-09-01 10:16:36 UTC
yeah, i only did svn and not svnserve, but it should be good now.
Comment 4 Don Scorgie 2007-09-03 11:03:35 UTC
Still having trouble committing:
don@Madaline:~/Work/gnome/rarian $ svn ci
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: Connection is read-only
svn: Your commit message was left in a temporary file:
svn: '/home/don/Work/gnome/rarian/svn-commit.2.tmp'

(Sorry for being a pain)
Comment 5 Daniel Stone 2007-09-03 12:04:04 UTC
huh, i honestly don't understand this one. thomas, since you know more about svn, could you please take a look?
Comment 6 Don Scorgie 2007-09-06 10:38:33 UTC
Any news on this? I'd like to do a release this weekend, if possible. Without SVN access, this gets slightly tricky.

Actually I'm also experiencing this issue on svn+ssh://svn.freedesktop.org/svn/hieroglyph/trunk now. which worked before. hopefully we'll get this working shortly...
Comment 8 Florian Steinel 2007-09-14 11:29:59 UTC
Seems to be fixed now.
I can access svn via
http://anonsvn.freedesktop.org/svn/rarian/trunk/
and
svn://anonsvn.freedesktop.org/svn/rarian/trunk

Yes, can check out but still can't commit :(
Comment 10 Thomas Vander Stichele 2007-09-15 12:32:15 UTC
Ok, now it should work. I added myself to the rairan group temporarily, did a dist-upgrade from etch to stable inside the chroot, and did a test commit on it.

Reopen if it's still a problem.
