Description Roman Jarosz 2009-04-17 01:58:05 UTC
I get random GPU freezes, mouse moves but the rest is frozen and I can't switch to console. This is with UXA and KMS. This hang is with KDE 4 with enabled composite manager (OpenGL).

The kernel is 2.6.30-rc2 with
drm/i915: allow tiled front buffers on 965+
drm/i915: fix transition to I915_TILING_NONE
x86, PAT: Remove page granularity tracking for vm_insert_pfn maps

xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel git 9b615a52671aacf34666f90ecfff98651ce6afe2
mesa git 352de305bd2b03b0a8d079dbbcb29ae812cc6028
drm git 07646002c6835537c6ae44ef9b3f8480762279b8

I'll attach intel_gpu_dump.

Dump after X was killed and started again

Dump after X was killed and started again, by started I mean that it was running but only black screen was shown.

Adjusting severity: crashes & hangs should be marked critical.

Any progress on this bug? Do you need more info?
Comment 7 Eric Anholt 2009-05-12 16:16:19 UTC
Thanks for the intel_gpu_dump. Another dupe, it looks like.

I'm sure glad all these mysterious hangs for gen4 appear to be the same :)
