Running a Dell e6510 laptop with Intel graphics chipset. On boot up I get a blank screen on the laptop unless I have "nomodeset" in the kernel boot parameters. In this configuration I am only able to use the vesa driver in X. When booting with an external monitor connected to a docking station I get the video on the external monitor without nomodeset (with KMS enabled). However, once X starts up using the intel driver the screen is twice the width it should be and I can only see the right half. uname -a: Linux gandalf 2.6.33.5-112.fc13.i686.PAE #1 SMP Thu May 27 02:56:20 UTC 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux lspci: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)
