Description Elmar Stellnberger 2011-01-10 07:51:02 UTC
The symptoms are exactly the same as for Bug 32393. However Xorg.0.log did not report an event queue overflow this time (for whatever reason).

Is this still happening?

Please actually report what the symptoms are rather than just saying it's
similar to another bug (which in itself is overloaded with conflicting
symptoms).
Comment 5 Elmar Stellnberger 2012-08-20 12:23:23 UTC
Yes; unfortunately it is.
Now at server shutdown (Could not test if it still happens by xrandr config attempts because of bug 53840.).
The backtrace did no more goe into Xorg.0.log but was merely visible on the tty. A reboot was necessary to get up X again (nothing to killall though tty7 locked).

KMS: kernel version 3.4.6-1.1-desktop.

This has only happend once. - and the traditional event queue overflow on xrandr requests is fully resolved (all my xrandr requests have succeeded well). Far not as bad as one could have assessed!
Comment 10 Elmar Stellnberger 2015-11-27 12:07:31 UTC
old report; bug was not observed for long any more.
