Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. enable DRI 2. close X, either by ctrl-alt-backspace, or by closing session in window manager 3. machine freezes, not responding to keyboard, screen contents remain still (background and cursor, sometimes a tile of random pixel apears at cursor location. This does not happen when DRI is disabled. Otherwise DRI works, except that 3D performace seems to be lower than on Windows.
