Bug report is similar to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32257 - but specific for paragraph styling, and not for frame-styling. I would like to have a paragraph style that has some margins on top and at the bottom, but no spacing everytime a hard return is used, for example to make a quotation (holding multiple sentences) stand out as a whole, and not every sentence apart from the rest. Now this is possible to set a border around the paragraph with color white, and in most cases this is sufficient (most documents have a white background I guess) - but this would be cleaner if the spacing could be applied even if the border-width would be '0'. As an amateur webdeveloper I could compare this to the paragraph style as the HTML-equivalent for

: with a margin around the

, but the

would be able to hold multiple sentences, separated by a
. Not sure if this is feasible - I think it could be a useful feature. Link to discussion-forum: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=40851&p=188193#p188058

Confirmed the reported behaviour on 3.5.5.
Not sure if borders and spacing between text and borders is the right tool to achieve what you want (if I understand right). You should do that with spacing before and after the paragraph and use the option which allows to remove the spacing between two paragraphs of the same style. Please, to be sure to speak about the same thing, could you attach a test document showing what you want to do? Best regards. JBF
